Indoor Spring Cleaning Checklist

Warmer weather is on the way, so it is time for spring cleaning. Cleaning our homes not only makes them look better but it makes them healthier for us too. Here is a checklist for making that happen and some expert tips also.

• check batteries in smoke detectors and CO detectors
• replace the return air vent filter
• clean air vents
• check and replace light bulbs
• wipe walls
• wash baseboards, doors, and trim
• clean window treatments

• dust ceiling fans and light fixtures
• deep clean carpets and polish wood floors
• clean washer and dryer
• wash trash cans

• clean the outside of your kitchen cabinets

• vacuum furniture
• wash throw blankets and pillows

• clean and organize closets, get rid of unused clothing and accessories
• flip mattresses

Create a schedule or try to tackle one room at a time so you do not get burnt out, and when you are done, your home will feel like new.
